Göscheneralp
Unpolished Jewel
The Göscheneralp is a diamond in the rough, surrounded by majestic mountains and glaciers towering at altitudes of thousands of metres. These untouched natural surroundings are wild and romantic, and include five Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) mountain huts with incredible views of the impressive peaks – making this the perfect place to hike, climb, boulder or cycle. Bold hikers can traverse the Salbit suspension bridge, which links the Voralp and Salbit huts. If you’ve got the stamina, you can complete the whole panorama circuit, which includes all five SAC huts.
The unique side valley has lots of different elements to enjoy. The Göscheneralp is also easy to reach by bus in the summer months. At the final stop you’ll find an alpine kiosk where you can pick up regional products for a picnic or as a souvenir for friends and family.
